Xanita - X-Board ® (XB) and X-Board ® Plus (XB+) [BLP]

Low VOC, lightweight composite fibre boards with high recycled content, suitable for use in a range of residential and commercial applications.

Product Description:

Xanita X-Board® is a composite fibre board consisting of a white inkjet printabl liner or brown kraft paper liner and a 100% post-consumer recycled kraft-based reinforced core. The product is fully repulpable at end-of-life and has a high strength-to-weight ratio. Additionally the product can be mitre cut and folded; cut to shape using a CNC router or manually cut with a range of tools; and fabric-wrapped/edged for decorative purposes. The productis suitable as a finished print-ready material for heavy duty packing boxes, displays, plinths, lightweight bulkheads and counters.

Xanita X-Board® Plus is a composite fibre board consisting of the same core as the X-Board®, with the inclusion a stiff outer layer structurally bonded to both sides of the core. The outer layer can be specified with a range of wood-based products such as MDF, particleboard or plywood. The product has a high strength-to-weight ratio and is suitable for use in joinery, bench tops, doors, partition screens and some formwork applications. Boards can be worked with conventional woodworking machinery. X-Board® Plus can be specified with 9mm moisture resistant particle board so it can be used in kitchen bench tops.

Ecospecifier Issues of Concern / Red Lights

Manufacturer states that timber fibres used only in the white paper liners of X-Board® are sourced from FSC sources however they are not yet Chain of Custody compliant.
