Tarkett - Linoleum XF [BLP]

Overview:

Low maintenance, ultra-low VOC durable linoleum floor covering. Suitable for all commercial applications

Product Description:

Homogenous linoleum floor covering with low maintenance costs when compared to non-coated linoleum products. Coated with aUV cured polymer water borne urethane which removes the need for polishes, stains or waxes.

Made from natural components including linseed oil, pine wood flour and rosin, limestone, woven jute backing (see below for detailed constituents). Pigments do not contain heavy metals such as lead and cadmium.

Low VOC emissions generated (no formaldehyde emissions) if used in conjunction with low-solvent adhesive. The flooring is durable and low maintenance. Designed for medium to heavy traffic. It resists scratches and cigarette burns and has excellent resistance to indentation (manufacturer claim).

Non-allergenic and anti-bacterial, suitable for asthmatics and other people sensitive to indoor air quality.

Suitable for all commercial applications including health, education and industrial.

No Linoleum product is ideally suited for wet areas.

Under independent assessment linoleum is the most environmentally favourable floor covering in a life cycle assessment comparing linoleum, cushion vinyl, tufted carpet with a woollen pile and tufted carpet with a polyamide pile. Product contains Titanium Dioxide used as a colouring agent, possibly carcinogenic to humans if inhaled, as classified by IARC, it may also cause sensitization to the skin.  It is unlikely to cause harm as it is embedded within the product, therefore will not physically come into contact with or be inhaled by users.
