Product Description:

Silent Gliss low VOC polyester textile window coverings can be used in commercial and residential applications.

The use of these window coverings helps to reduce the heat and glare in internal spaces in summer and provide heat insulation in the winter. This can result in a reduction in the demand for climate control system such as air-conditioning thus reducing electricity consumption and greenhouse gases.

The fabric transparency levels vary from transparent to semi-transparent and dim-out.

Within the range, both Alutex and Clearscreen Met have aluminum backing which further reflects heat and the Series 5000 is supplied with a flame retardant coating.

The range includes: roman blinds, sliding panel systems, roller blind systems and skylight shading systems, each with their own energy efficiency profile.

Ecospecifier Issues of Concern / Red Lights

Minor issue: polyester is based on fossil fuel petrochemical polymer, however if the fabric is able to be fully recycled this investment in resources will be off-set by reduced material use in the future although this may be unlikely.
