Mermet- Intelligent Fabrics [BLP]

Overview:

Range of transparent heat and glare control PVC coated fibreglass window covering fabrics for use in residential and commercial internal and external blind applications.

Product Description:

Range of screenfabrics for use as internal and external window coverings with a woven fibreglass fabric base coated in PVC. Fabrics effectively reduce heat and glare in internal spaces while maximising vision to the outside relative to their light transmission characteristics. The fabrics can achieve significant reductions in the demand for air conditioning, reducing electricity consumption and greenhouse gas emissions.

Mermet’s PVC/fibreglass range of fabrics are designed to resist moisture, bacteria, fading and warpage and are antimicrobial. Manufacturer states the fabric helps to distribute light more effectivley, preventing glare and reflection, with only a slight loss in luminousity.

Within the range, there are blind/screen fabrics designed to suit various types of internal and external blind applications, including roller blinds, roman shades, decorative panels, skylights, and flat, shaped or tensioned structures.

Mermet does not manufacture a finished blind product, but rather, the fabric/screen used in finished products.

Mermet is currently undergoing the process of obtaining GREENGUARD Indoor Air Quality certification of their fabrics. This certification recognises low VOC products and their reduced potential human health impacts in indoor environments.

Use of this product is likely to contribute to the achievement of Green Star™ credit points.

Issues of Concern/ Red Lights?
