Overview:
Very low VOC pre-finished STD and HMR unfinished particleboard in various thicknesses. Suitable for residential and commercial interior applications.
Product Description:
Standard unfinished particleboard, suitable for ready for use or finishing with a high-pressure laminate, decorative foil or timber veneer. Applications include joinery, storage units, benchtops, shelving.
Available in LFE (low formaldehyde emission) E1 or (very low formaldehyde emission) E0 substrate options.
The E0 grade products are part of Laminex’s Greenfirst range, certified by GEC Australia. Laminex Particleboard ® STD & HMR E0 & E1 Grade products assists towards achieving various Green Star credit points (see below).
Contains Ecopreferred Content - 50% post industrial recycled content - material diverted from the landfill waste stream and from manufacturing processes, and 50% reclaimed silviculture fibre, including radiata and pinaster pine from Western Australian government and private plantations. The Laminex Group are pursuing chain of custody certification for the supply of its raw material.
Can be used for furniture and joinery applications away from high humidity, including storage units, shelving, wall linings and general joinery. Panels are self supporting and decorated on both sides. They can be cut, edged and assembled using mechanical fixing systems. Furniture and joinery can be disassembled, reused, refurbished or easily replaced.
Issues of Concern?
As stated in Raw Materials Discussion, Particleboard is not made using FSC certified timber, however The Laminex Group are currently trying to source chain of custody certification for the supply of its raw material.
