Issues of Concern/ Red Lights?

The Laminex Group uses Phenolic Formaldehyde resins in the manufacture of HPL. The formaldeyhde emission levels are very low and meet the European E1 limit. Formica Fusion HPL range products emit formaldehyde below the workplace exposure limit set by the National Occupational Health and Safety Commission and comply with the voluntary standards of Good Environmental Choice Australia.

Fusion Surfaces emit very low traces of VOCs.

Various timber certification schemes are currently in operation in regards to sustainably managed timber plantations as sources of wood. An analysis of the various timber certification schemes reveals that the Forest Stewardship Council (FSC) is the most rigorous and robust, and environmentally desirable certification to receive, due to the stringent criteria followed.(eg. FSC is the only scheme based on a clear set of min. performance based criteria, prohibits the conversion of forests to plantations, and also prohibits the use of GMO trees).
