Corian® - Solid Surfaces [BLP]
Overview:
Corian® Solid Surface, made from alumina trihydrate and acrylic polymer, is suitable for numerous horizontal and vertical decorative surface applications in both residential and commercial environments.
Product Description:
Corian® Solid Surface, made by DuPont, is non-porous and can be seamlessly joined, making it suitable for many applications, including benchtop surfaces, wall cladding, sinks, vanity bowls, windowsills and a range of decorative surface applications. Corian® can also be used externally in public areas or as signs on buildings.
After the ingredients of Corian® have been fully reacted, which takes place during the manufacturing process, Corian® becomes a chemically stable solid surfacing material. Because Corian® does not easily react with other chemicals, it has a minimal impact on both the indoor and outdoor environment.
Corian® has low total VOCs of 60g/l and is GREENGUARD Air Quality Certified in the USA. Pigments used in Corian® are free of heavy metals (certified by NSF International), as well as non-toxic and non-allergenic to humans.
Corian® is easy to maintain, durable and reworkable. Corian® is non-porous, and accordingly will not promote the growth of bacteria.
