Autex – Quietspace Range [BLP]
Overview:
Interior polyester wall lining fabrics, panels and workstations, designed to provide noise absorption and acoustic benefits. Suitable for residential, commercial and industrial insulation applications.
Product Description:
Quietspace acoustic range consists of polyester acoustic panels, acoustic fabric and workstations.Products are designed to provide superior noise absorption and balanced acoustic design.
Products are manufactured with approximately 85% recycled polyester fibre from PET plastic. Polyester is a non-toxic material and an installer-friendly alternative to fibreglass insulation, requiring no specific protective apparel during installation. Recycled polyester content has significant environmental benefits of reduced material consumption and waste to landfill.
Acoustic fabric is a decorative interior acoustic wall lining that can be applied to large areas of wall space, reducing reverberation and improving the functionality of rooms. Fabrics are suitable for offices, theatres, hospitals and cinemas etc.
Panels provide a higher degree of reverberation control. A range of mounting and finishing options are available with lightweight composite panels. Panels are suitable for noise control in auditoriums, offices, restaurants, studios, gymnasiums and airports etc.
Workstations are high density products available in a range of colours and thicknesses, with pinnable surfaces. Product is suitable for use in various modular workstation partition systems (e.g. as rooms dividers or screens). Quietspace workstation has been designed to reduce and control reverberated noise in building interiors.
Autex’s manufacturing process adopts a zero waste policy, whereby any excess trimmings of goods are reused in the process.

Productions are plants located in Melbourne, Sydney, Brisbane and Perth, reducing the need for additional transport to market.
Ecospecifier Issues of Concern / Red Lights
Minor issue: polyester is based on fossil fuel petrochemical polymer, however if the fabric is able to be fully recycled this investment in resources will be off-set by reduced material use in the future.
