GreenTag Launch

In recent weeks, the ecospecifier Global GreenTag launches have been a spectacular success.  The Sydney and Melbourne launches were full even before the email invitation finished going out from the database.  Parramatta and Brisbane followed shortly thereafter with bookings for all venues exceeding nominated capacity. In all, nearly 400 guests attended the various venues.  The single largest crowd was in Brisbane with nearly 150 attendees hearing Professor Keith Hampson from the Sustainable Built Environment Research Centre based at QUT, ecospecifier Global GreenTag Scheme and Technical Director David Baggs and Murray Davis and Jason Lowther, representatives of QLD Dept of Trade.

Professor Hampson spoke about Building Information Modelling (BIM), the LCADesign software used in the GreenTag Certification process, and the various substantial productivity gains able to be delivered to the industry demonstrated by various key companies including the QLD project Services in their use of BIM over many years.

David Baggs introduced the concept of GreenTag as an umbrella Certification with the 2 parallel certification streams that sit within the one system: the LCA Rate life cycle assessment rating system that rates a product on 6 criteria and awards Bronze, Silver, Gold or Platinum level awards and the GreenRate system that is subject to an application to the Green Building Council of Australia as an Accredited Third Party for the Green Star Materials Calculator and other credits.

Murray Davis was Master of Ceremonies and Jason Lowther spoke about the services Trade Queensland offers manufacturers in exporting and the substantial demand for green products overseas.

Given the substantial demand for information on GreenTag - STAY TUNED FOR THE NEXT SERIES OF SEMINARS IN LATE APRIL.
