History
ecospecifier.org has been operating as the benchmark source of verified, life-cycle based information of eco-preferred products in Australia since 2003. ecospecifier was co-developed by Natural Integrated Living Pty Ltd, and its directors Mary-Lou Kelly and David Baggs, in collaboration with RMIT University’s Centre for Design (CfD) in Melbourne.
RMIT CfD were the co-developers of an original printed ‘ecospecifier’ booklet, and later a website of approximately 80 materials in 2000, produced with the Society for Responsible Design.
ecospecifier is now wholly owned and operated by Ecospecifier Pty Ltd, with its team led by Mary-Lou Kelly and David Baggs. ecospecifier is backed by a world-quality, dynamic team of Sustainable Development and Product experts that keep subscribers, manufacturers, product information, education and communications up to date, whilst continually adding new life-cycle assessed products.
