Product categories

To assist easy navigation of the database, products have been assigned to categories. These are common-language categorisations and were selected to be usable to a wide variety of users.

The ecospecifier product category search now uses over 80 common and specialised sustainability industry categories as well as over 530 individual sub-categories covering all sustainable materials products and technologies relevant to an ecologically sustainable and healthy built environment.

The database may be queried by these categories or sub-categories individually or in conjunction with the ‘Outcome or Green Star Credit’ search function and/or the ‘keyword’ search function.
